Located just outside Portola, CA, amid a natural amphitheater of rolling foothills lies Grizzly Ranch, a private gated golf course community overlooking the Sierra Valley, California’s largest alpine valley and headwaters for the Feather River. Conveniently located only 45 minutes from Reno and 50 minutes from Truckee, along scenic highway 70, Grizzly Ranch is removed but not remote. In 1999, fifteen individuals who shared a passion for the Sierra Nevada area joined together and formed the “Founders of Grizzly Ranch” to acquire an exceptional parcel of real estate overlooking the Sierra Valley and alongside Big Grizzly Creek.

The Founders re-planned the property and reduced the density to 380 residential sites to protect the natural beauty and extraordinary view characteristics of the area.
